Dubai, Nov 29: Karnataka Sangha Dubai, which had glorious Silver Jubilee Celebrations last year with many events, will be hosting this year’s edition of “Karnataka Rajyothsava 2011” led by new, young executive committee members, headed by Girish Shetty on December 9 at JSS School, Al Safa.

Rajyotsava celebrations will be a complete entertainment package with full of comedy, dance and orchestra by famous troupe of Kikkeri Krishnamurthy along with noted playback singers Ramesh Chandra, Nagachandrika Bhat and Zee TV Little Champ fame Ashwin Sharma.

Cultural programmes by local artistes and dance by Dubai Rockers troupe and various other entertainment programmes by the members will also be staged.

Sandalwood Challenging star Darshan along with his wife Vijayalaxmi will be the special guests. Comedians Saadhu Kokila and Bullet Prakash will entertain the Kannadigas with their humour.

Karnataka Sangha Dubai is a socio-cultural, non-political and non-relegious organization founded in the year 1985 by Kannadigas here in Dubai to promote Karnataka’s rich and diverse heritage and culture, art and literature. One of the main objectives of the Sangha is to serve the Kannadigas here, bring all Kannadigas under one roof to share their common cultural ties and create unity under a common platform. The aim of the Sangha is to provide assistance to the needy Kannadigas here in the Emirate, provide forum for amateur talent, and invite professional artistes from India, to encourage sports and games and to represent Karnataka in various programmes held in the Emirates.

President Girish Shetty along with the newly-formed executive committee has requested Kannadigas in the UAE to attend this event.
