Media Release

Dubai, Nov 29: ‘Udenthichim Neketram’, Moodbidri Varado Catholic Association (MVCA), which consists of 13 parishes of Moodbidri Varado, announced their 7th Annual Day to be held on Friday February 3, 2012, at Emirates English speaking school Al Quoz, Dubai.

It is expected to be a fun filled day as scores of entertainers are ready to exhibit their talent in a brand new Konkani drama called ‘Konnachem Aikonvnchem’, which is written and directed by Ashuntha Periera Monteiro. Though this is her first play in UAE, she has rich experience in writing poetry, short stories, and short plays. She is well-known for her ‘Canadaso Comblo’ drama which was well appreciated by Konkani people in UK.

MVCA is known for exhibiting talent as they have done before. The organization has given exposure to bright and talented writer, director, actor Pradeep Barboza, actors Sunil Pinto, and Deepak D’Silva to mention a few, who are taking Konkani drama’s to a new dimension. Known actors along with new excellent talented actors will be roped in to perform in this drama.

MVCA is a well-known Catholic association with the noble mission of helping the needy back home irrespective of caste.  They have planned many more helping projects for needy people.

President Ullas Fernandes, Siddakkatte, expressed his confidence about the success of the event.  “We have done well in all our annual events and gave good entertainment to the people. Our aim is to bring together the people from 13 parishes of Moodbidri Varado, give exposure to new talents, and provide good entertainment. A few new actors along with known actors are very enthusiastic about the concept of the drama,” he said during the press release for the event.

“We will give more excellent talents in music, dance, and acting from MVCA to the Konkani world in terms of entertainers,” he concluded with a positive statement.
