Mangaluru: Diocesan Social Service Centre organizes day-long student’s camp

Mangalore, Oct 7: CODP a Diocesan Social Service Centre organized day-long student’s camp.

The camp was organized by Child Sponsorship Unit of CODP. Total of 203 students and 75 parents received the information on child protection and safety rules by the Kadri police station officials. Police inspector Somashekar spoke on child safety rules and Prathibha and beat police Chandravathi spoke on mobile phone usages.

The students were clubbed to two different groups. One group consisted of students from 1st to 6th std, the another from 7th to degree. Sharel and Sharmila imparted knowledge on current affairs, listening and learning teaching skills.

Fr Vincent D’Souza, director of CODP presided over the inaugural programme. The programme was compeered by Dorice Linet the coordinator and Priya Lobo, assistant coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Lunch was provided to all the participants.
