Bantwal: Four arrested for stealing Halmaddi wax from reserve forest

Bantwal, Oct 8: Forest department officials have arrested four individuals for illegally collecting Halmaddi wax from the reserve forest at Kalanjimale near Vittal and transporting it in an auto-rickshaw.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ali Hyder, Ummer Farukh, Mohammed Hasainar, and Ummer Farukh, all residents of Kedila. The raid was conducted based on a tip-off. Authorities confiscated 11 kg of wax, equipment used in the illegal activity, and the auto-rickshaw.

The operation was led by zonal forest officer Kiran, with the support of deputy zonal forest officer Veeranna, Prakash B T, Girish H P, beat forest guard Satish D’Souza, and drivers Rajesh and Tejaprakash, along with other personnel.

    people are arrested for peanuts stealing...lolzz...the forest officials themselves sell crore of rupees of saguwani, sandal and jackfruit trees...reality of demo crazy country...what these people have done is absolutely wrong...I am not at all with them....but what is happening in our country is that the big fishes are enjoying life...

    Very many trees felled illegally -- Kantara movie CORE THEME was all about who owns the forest -- balancing nature -- human dwelling and balance --The old tribals knew how to maintain this balance ---- The govt has to have a balance -- but unfortunately right now looters -- acquisition -- resorts -- other projects by vested interests -- -- roads -- dams --RAILWAYS -- which are not approved scientifically all coming up --

    This is herogiri by catching petty guys... Halmaddi wax price per kg is 2800 rupees... So much govt machinery plus salaried hours are wasted in such small haul... They say "Eduralli ili hogabaaradu... hindugade Huli hodre kooda gottilla..." These forest officials are fences eating produce of the farm... These are only eye wash techniques to keep public Khush....
