Bantwal: Special postal stamp released to celebrate Panemangalore Shri Sharada Pooja centenary

Bantwal, Oct 8: In a significant celebration of the centenary of Panemangalore Shri Sharada Pooja, the Indian Postal Department released a special postal stamp on Tuesday, October 8.

The stamp was unveiled by G Harish, senior postal superintendent of the Puttur division, at the Panemangalore post office. Following the unveiling, a procession made its way to the Panemangalore Shri Vithal Swami Government Higher Primary School, where the stamp was presented to the office-bearers of the Sharada Pooja Mahotsava Committee.

The event was attended by Bantwal Municipal Council vice-president Moohin Ali, council members Idrees and others, as well as Puttur Assistant Postal Superintendents Chandra Naik and Karkala assistant postal superintendent Mohan. Key figures from the Mahotsava committee, including honorary president Yogish Pai, president Pramod Bhat, and secretary Ganesh Naik, were also present.

The programme was hosted by Gurupasad K S, marketing officer from the Puttur postal division, highlighting the community's pride in this important milestone celebration.
