Mangaluru: Padua English higher primary school hosts Hobli level athletic meet

Mangaluru, Oct 10: Hobli level athletic meet was held on October 4 hosted by Padua English higher primary School Nanthur on the occasion of the silver Jubilee year 2024-25.

The event took place at Mangala stadium. The guests were escorted by the High School band troop under the leadership of Hubert, the physical director of Padua High School. HR Ishwar, the BEO of Mangaluru south zone, along with Molly D’Souza, the headmistress of Padua English Higher Primary School, and Lily Pais, the president of the District and Taluk Primary Teachers Association, inaugurated the event by hoisting the school and department flags and lighting the lamp.

Lily Pais delivered the introductory speech. The chief guest, HR Ishwar, gave his message and appreciated the programme conducted by the school. Other guests on the stage were Kumudini (CRP of Padua cluster), Sharmila (Nodal officer of primary section), Shekhar Kartal, (president of Physical Teachers Association), Mohan Shirla (secretary of Physical Teachers Association) Mohan (CRP of Ullal cluster), Shrimati Nirmala (CRP of Bajal cluster), Ruth (nodal officer of High School section), Pramod (Nodal Officer of Primary Section), and Olivia ( headmistress of Padua High School).

A total of 586 students from 36 schools participated in the Hobli-level sports event. Headmistress Molly D'Souza welcomed the gathering, Maria Veigas served as the master of ceremonies, and Saritha Sadananda proposed the vote of thanks. Veeresh Kumar the physical director of Padua English Higher Primary School, was put in charge of the events.
