MLA Yashpal Suvarna requests Amit Shah for NIA probe into Bangladesh illegal immigrant network

Media Release

Udupi, Oct 14: In response to the arrest of seven Bangladeshi nationals illegally residing in Malpe, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna has written a letter to union home minister Amit Shah, urging a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the matter.

The initial investigation by the police has revealed a significant number of Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in the coastal districts, causing concern among the local population.

What has alarmed authorities further is that the arrested illegal immigrants were found in possession of fake Aadhaar cards and passports. There are suspicions of a larger network aiding illegal immigrants in the coastal region, and MLA Suvarna has stressed the need for a high-level investigation to uncover any anti-national elements involved.

The MLA has called for stringent action against forces supporting activities that threaten national security, urging the home ministry to immediately initiate an NIA probe into this alarming situation.
