Bantwal, Oct 14: A case has been registered at the Vitla police station regarding the disappearance of a man who informed his family he would be dressing up for the Dasara festival. The missing person has been identified as 55-year-old Sundar Nayak, a resident of Palike Annamule in Kasaba village.

Sundar Nayak, who worked as a daily wage labourer, was preparing for the festival.

On the morning of October 1, he told his wife that he would be going to the Vitla police station to seek permission for his festival attire. However, when his wife returned home in the evening, Sundar was not there.

Assuming he would return after the Dasara celebrations, his wife grew concerned when he did not return home. She began inquiring with relatives and neighbours but was unable to locate him.

In her complaint filed with the police, she expressed her worry over his disappearance and the lack of any leads regarding his whereabouts.
