Bantwal: St Patrick Church celebrates inauguration of centenary jubilee, commencement of renovation

Bantwal, Oct 16: St Patrick Church, Siddakatte, celebrated the inauguration of its centenary jubilee and the commencement of its renovation on October 13. The event began with a special mass led by guest priest Fr Paustine Lukas Lobo, coordinator of pastoral planning for the Mangalore diocese. He highlighted the importance of the church's milestone and the spirit of renewal.

Fr Daniel D’Souza, the parish priest, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the congregation for their continued support and dedication to the parish's growth. He highlighted the importance of the renovation project as a symbol of the community's commitment to preserving and enhancing their place of worship.

Fr Mourice D’Souza and Fr Cyril Cunha were also present, offering their blessings and words of encouragement.

The secretary of the parish, Praveen Cutinha, and Praveen Crasta, the coordinator of the 21 commission, also participated in the programme.

Sunil Sequeira, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, played a significant role in guiding the event. He later delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the occasion's success, including the clergy and parish community.

The event was gracefully hosted by Selma Fernandes. A special renovation prayer was led by Sr Vinny, invoking blessings for the successful completion of the church's renewal.

The event concluded with a fellowship lunch, marking a day of unity and celebration as St Patrick Church, Siddakatte, embarks on its centenary jubilee and renovation.
