Catholic diocese of Mangalore organizes walkathon to combat drug abuse

Mangaluru, Oct 19: The Catholic diocese of Mangalore organised a 'Say No to Drugs' walkathon on Friday, October 18 at Nehru Maidan in collaboration with Father Muller Charitable Trust, St Aloysius Deemed to be University, St Joseph Engineering College and Catholic Board of Education to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and prevent drug menace.

DCPs Sidharth Goyal, Dinesh Kumar, rector of St Aloysius Deemed to be University Fr Melwyn Pinto, secretary of the Catholic Board of Education Fr Praveen Leo Lasrado, administrator of Father Muller Medical College Fr Ajith Menezes, coordinator of the anti-drugs campaign of Mangalore Catholic diocese Louis J Pinto, Aloysius Deemed to be University anti-drug society coordinator Dr Roshan Monteiro, diocesan media coordinator Elias Fernandes were present.

Roshan Santhumayor was the master of ceremonies. Dr Shivashankar gave a vote of thanks.
