Mangaluru: Youth swept away while swimming at Mukka beach, remains untraced

Mangaluru, Oct 24: A youth swimming at Red Rock Beach in Mukka, near here, was swept away into the Arabian Sea on Tuesday evening.

Prajwal (21), son of Krishna Kumar Somayajai, a resident of B C Road, was the victim who got carried away by the sea. He had gone to Mukka Red Rock Beach with eight friends, and they were swimming when they were caught by a large wave. While the others managed to swim to safety, Prajwal drowned.

A case has been filed at the Suratkal police station, and efforts are underway to trace Prajwal. Despite extensive searches by SDRF teams, diving experts, and local police, he remains missing.
