Udupi: Prabhat Saw Mill, Brahmavar Gutted in Fire

Udupi, Dec 4: A saw mill located just one kilometer from Brahmavar – Hebri Road, here was gutted in a fire on Sunday December 4 early morning.

The fire broke out at the mill due to short circuit. Fire brigade officials somehow succeeded in extinguishing the fire from spreading to nearby shops.

Timbers worth several lac of rupees was destroyed in the fire. The fire thus caused a huge loss to the mill owners.

    This rmeinds us that all fcatories should make adeaute precauions agianst fire hazards. Most of the time we take this lightly.Fire can happen anytime and cuse damage to life and property. Feeling sad for the loss

    I have been watching this sawmill from my childhood. Some beautiful memories do attached in this mill as it is very close to my home. Watching it burning is really sad. Hope no one is injured and all are fine.
