Kundapur, Oct 26: In a tragic incident at Kodi beach on Saturday October 26, two men drowned while swimming.
The victims have been identified as Ajay, a resident of Hasanalli, Bengaluru, and Santosh from Angalli in Kundapur taluk.
According to reports, Santosh had invited his friend Ajay, who had travelled from Bengaluru, to visit Kodi beach. While they were playing in the waves, both were swept away by a strong current.
Local fishermen and expert swimmers joined in the search operation. Ajay’s body was found first followed by Santosh. A case has been registered at the Kundapura police station.
