Mangalore: Yeddyurappa Lands in City, Snubs Media

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Dec 6: Disappointment was in store for the print and electronic media persons, who were eagerly waiting for the arrival of former state Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, at the helipad at Maryhill here on Tuesday December 6 morning.

Yeddyurappa, who is scheduled to take part in Vajapeya Yagna being held at Kalladka in the district, arrived from Bangalore in a helicopter.

He was expected to touch down at 9. 30 am, but his arrival was delayed by about an hour for unknown reasons. However, the press and television personnel, who were at the site on time, patiently waited for his arrival, as they had interesting questions to pose to him.

Some local BJP leaders like Srikar Prabhu and Rajagopal Rai were present at the helipad to receive Yeddyurappa. No MP, MLA, or minister was present.
Yeddyurappa arrived with his confidante and minister, M P Renukacharya. The policemen were present to provide security to the former Chief Minister.

Perhaps, sensing that the media persons were waiting to grill him on the ignominious defeat of BJP candidate in Bellary Rural bypoll after a series of successes in other bypolls, Yeddyurappa chose to ignore their presence at the helipad, and directly boarded a car which was waiting for him.

Perhaps, Yeddyurappa, who is usually aggressive in taking questions from the media, has become a subdued man because of jolts his stature suffered in the form of court cases and loss of deposit by his party candidate at Bellary Rural constituency, where he had extensively canvassed.

Yeddyurappa is expected to return Tuesday afternoon itself.

Yeddi, once of upon a time was TIGER and look like a CAT under the circumstances!!Every dog has a day and Yeddy's days are over!It seems Yeddy acting like a wounded tiger but ground reality is not like that.COZ after misusing entire govt machinery in Bellary,BJP not able to save it's deposit!!!A ruling party which came third place in Bellary rural by poll, because there was no third party, I, believe lost people's confidence and lost moral right to admin Karnataka. Helicopter ride is nothing but to show He is numero uno in Karnataka politics yet MLAs,District BJP president and PALEMAR's absent shows writing on wall.......Yeddy's days are numbered in BJP(May be private visit that does not make any difference)
