Mangaluru, Oct 31: Post-monsoon rains are expected to bring showers to the coastal districts of Karnataka, with the IMD issuing a yellow alert for October 31 and November 1, predicting significant rainfall in the twin districts.

On Wednesday, Dakshina Kannada experienced a mix of sunshine and cloudy skies.

The maximum temperature recorded in Mangaluru was 31.6°C, slightly below the average by 0.7°C for this time of year.

The minimum temperature was 23.8°C, which is 0.6°C above the seasonal norm.
