Mangaluru: Motorcycle accident near Netravati bridge claims one life

Mangaluru, Nov 1: A motorcycle accident near Mahakali Padpu on the Netravati Bridge resulted in one death and left another rider injured on Friday, November 1 evening.

The incident involved a motorcycle (KA 19 HS 1113) being ridden by Mohammad Shakir, with Salman Fareesh as his pillion passenger.

Reports indicate that the riders were speeding and behaving recklessly while traveling from Thokkottu towards Mangaluru. The motorcycle skidded and collided with an iron sheet installed on the bridge, causing both riders to be thrown onto the road.

Salman Fareesh sustained serious injuries and later succumbed to them, while Mohammad Shakir was injured and is currently receiving treatment at Indiana Hospital.
