Puttur: St Philomena Autonomous College organises thought provoking lecture

Media Release

Puttur, Nov 2: In a thought-provoking lecture, Dr Maitri Bhat, assistant professor in the department of Kannada at St Philomena Autonomous College, urged young minds to value inner beauty over external appearance, encouraging them to rise above life’s uncertainties.

“As the world transitions from emotionality to intellectuality, youth must focus on inner beauty to overcome life’s dilemmas,” Dr Bhat expressed passionately. Her lecture, organized by the Kannada department and Kannada Sangha, centred on the theme ‘Environment and Human Consciousness'.

Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, principal of college, presided over the event, remarking, “Often, inner turmoil leads individuals to create external obstacles. A person who finds peace within mirrors that tranquillity in their surroundings. Thus, it’s essential to shape one’s own environment.”

Dr Bhat further explored the influence of the environment on human consciousness, sharing valuable insights with the students. Dr Vijayakumar Moleyar, vice principal and head of the Kannada department, was also present at the event.

Aishwarya and her team led the prayer. Yagnesh welcomed, Ashika proposed vote of thanks, and Akhila compered the event.
