Mangaluru, Nov 4: Srinivas University's Institute of Management and Commerce, Institute of Port Shipping & Logistics Management, Institute of Education, and Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1, at the city campus in Pandeshwar.
The flag-hoisting ceremony was led by IMC dean Dr Venkatesh Amin, IPSLM dean Dr Sonia Noronha, IHM dean Prof Prashanth Prabhu, and IE dean Dr Padmanabha C H.
Institute of Computer and Information Science, BCA HoD, Dr Shreedhar Acharya spoke about the history and growth of Karnataka and the Kannada language and the contributions of Kannada literature and poetry. Mahesh highlighted Karnataka’s rich culture through a song. Faculties from all departments were present.
Dr Padmanabha C H welcomed the gathering, Prof Swathi delivered the vote of thanks, and Prof Prajna compered the programme.
