Wild elephant spotted on Karkala highway

Daijiworld Media Network – Karkala (MS)

Karkala, Nov 5: A lone tusker was sighted near Ganapati Katte on NH 166, which connects the city to Shringeri via the S K Border.

The elephant stood across the road, causing panic among drivers and riders for some time.

However, it did not pose any danger to people or vehicles and eventually retreated into the forest.

Passengers traveling in a car recorded a video of the tusker in the evening as it carried a tree branch, crossed the road, and returned to the forest.
