St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrates Kannada Rajyotsava with international guests

Mangaluru, Nov 6: St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava in the school hall with great enthusiasm.
Walter Nandalike, the founder of Daijiworld media, was the chief guest. In his address, he inspired the students to seize opportunities, ask questions, and strive for success to achieve greater heights in life.

The event was presided over by Fr Anil Lobo SJ, who emphasized that the Kannada language is a deep-rooted sentiment and urged the students to uphold its value through language, behaviour, speech, and culture.

The event was inaugurated uniquely with the unveiling of a map of Karnataka. Various performances, songs, and dances were presented to showcase the beauty of Karnataka and the richness of Kannada culture, alongside prayer songs.

The significance of Kannada language and culture was highlighted, with the participation of special guests from Italy, Professor Marcella and her students, who embraced the spirit of the celebration by wearing traditional Karnataka attire. Vice principals Laurel D’Souza and Aparna Suresh were also present at the event.

Aarav, Aashan, Vihaan, and Shreya anchored the programme. Aaron from class VII delivered the welcome address, and Tanush from class VII gave the vote of thanks. The Kannada language teachers organized the event.
