Mangaluru: MCC Bank holds its half yearly performance review

Mangaluru, Nov 9: MCC Bank held its half-yearly performance review on November 9 at the PF X Saldanha Auditorium, Administrative Office, Mangaluru. 

‘Sahakara Ratna’ Anil Lobo, chairman of the bank, presided over the review programme. Fr Roque D’Sa, parish priest of St Vencent Ferar Church, Valencia, was the chief guest to the programme. The review was inaugurated by the chief guest by lighting the lamp.

The chairman of MCC Bank, ‘Sahakara Ratna’ Anil Lobo, in his presidential address appreciated staff members who have achieved their targets for their efforts. He emphasised the need for taking risk in order to achieve the targets and called upon the staff members to face the problems with sincerity and hard work.

He said that ownership towards the Bank and execution of work with professionalism, will automatically boost the staff members to work hard and to achieve their targets. He advised the managers to educate their staff members on the banking products and services which will help them to grow in tandem with the growth of the Bank.

He illustrated with example that instead of preaching others it is essential to work prudently and to use the opportunity to achieve the targets.

He gave valuable inputs and suggestions to the staff members for the betterment of their performance in the coming days. He also urged all the staff members to note down the suggestions and feedback from the customers and to forward them to the administrative office. This would help the management to take quick decisions for the betterment of service to the customers. He emphasised that indiscipline at the work place would not be tolerated and corrective measures would be taken on top priority.

Speaking during the occasion, Fr Roque D’Sa, congratulated the chairman for his exemplary leadership towards the progress of the bank and for being conferred with the ‘Sahakara Ratna’ award by the Government of Karnataka. He expressed that it is not easy to run a co-operative Bank with limited resources; but, by rendering quality in service will help the Bank to grow steadily.

He called upon the staff members to have the sense of belongingness towards the bank and to serve the customers with a smile and with positive attitude which will enhance the customer base for the bank.

S H Vishveshwaraiah, advisor of the bank presented the review of half year ended September 30. He presented the branch-wise half yearly review of deposits, advances, CASA and NPA. He appreciated the performance of the branches who have achieved the target and called upon the other branches to reach the target by March 2025.

Raj Menezes, deputy general manager, reviewed the repeated mistakes made by the staff members in CBS and called upon the staff members to minimise such mistakes to avoid wastage of time and lack of customer service. Ajith P D’Souza presented the errors committed by the staff while opening the loan accounts.

Josline Dias, staff of credit department at administrative office, who celebrated her birthday was felicitated. Also, the staff members, who celebrate their Silver birthday and golden birthday, this year, were also felicitated.

Directors, Herald Monteiro, Roshan D’Souza, Joseph Anil Patrao, Irene Rebello, Melwin Vas and Felix D’cruz, were present.

The programme started with a prayer song conducted by Karen Crasta and Deale D’Souza.

Sunil Menezes, general manager of the bank, proposed the vote of thanks. Shainy Veebha D’Souza, accountant of Kankanady branch compered the programme.

All the staff members participated in the review meeting with enthusiasm.
