Beltangady: Truck, KSRTC bus stuck in mud on NH construction area, traffic disrupted

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (MS)

Beltangady, Nov 10: A truck and a KSRTC bus were stuck in the mud in the middle of the road at Sutatan Guri, near Neralakatte, causing a traffic disruption for over an hour. The vehicles were eventually lifted from the pit with the help of a JCB and local residents.

Ongoing roadwork on the National Highway (NH) from Punjalakatte to Charmady has led to such incidents.

Construction of bridges at various points is also in progress. The mud dumped along the roadside as part of the work has created a hazard, with some vehicles getting bogged down in the soft earth.

The traffic was cleared after the vehicles were rescued, but the situation highlights the challenges posed by construction work in the area.
