Puttur, Nov 11: A woman utilized the funds accumulated through the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, introduced by the Congress-led state government of Karnataka, to buy a scooter for her husband, aiding him in his daily commute to work.
Misriya, a resident of Shantinagar near Kodimbadi, bought a scooter for her husband, Saleem, who works as a painter. Saleem often travels to distant places for his daily wage work.
