Kundapur, Nov 11: CPM district secretary Balakrishna Shetty stated that the new capitalist economic policies have pushed the people of India towards poverty, benefiting only big capitalists and creating a vast inequality in wealth distribution.
Balakrishna Shetty was speaking at the inauguration of the fourth zonal convention of CPM in the Kundapur zone on Sunday. He further added, “Recent reports highlight a significant disparity between the salaries of labourers and top executives in multinational companies. The CPM will continue its fight until this inequality is addressed.”
CPM district secretary board member Suresh Kallagara was the chief guest, and senior leader V Narasimha hoisted the flag. Party secretary H Narasimha presented a three-year report, which was discussed and approved by the representatives.
Ganesh led the obituary tribute. Several resolutions for the overall development of Kundapur were made by the party. A new taluk committee was elected for the next three years, with Chandrashekhara V appointed as the secretary of the new committee.
