CID team arrives for investigation into lock-up death case in Brahmavar police station

Udupi, Nov 11: The investigation into the lock-up death that occurred at the Brahmavar Police Station has gained momentum, with the CID police team now involved in the case.

A team of CID officers from Bengaluru arrived in Udupi and began gathering information at the Brahmavar Police Station as part of the investigation. Subsequently, they visited the Brahmavara Primary Health Centre to examine the body and held consultations with medical officers. The post-mortem examination of the deceased will be conducted at Manipal KMC on November 11.

Family members of the deceased, who hail from Kollam, Kerala, have arrived in Brahmavara and filed an official complaint regarding the incident.

The deceased, Biju Mohan from Kollam, Kerala, was arrested on charges of assaulting women and children. Following his arrest, he was brought to the Brahmavar Police Station for questioning and was placed in the lock-up. However, he was found dead in the lock-up early on November 10.
