Puttur: St Philomena PU College holds valedictory ceremony of science week 'Sciencia’

Puttur, Nov 12: Science Forum in collaboration with the department of science organized Valedictory ceremony of science week- 'Sciencia' at St Philomena PU College, Puttur on Nov 9.

The president, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, principal, St Philomena PU College, Puttur in his presidential remarks emphasized, "Students should utilize opportunities effectively. Science extends beyond classrooms, embracing wonders and success with humanistic values."

The chief guest, Ganesh Bhat, Rtd vice principal, St Philomena Autonomous College, Puttur emphasized that science fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and global unity. With vast information available, students must act responsibly. He urged students to inculcate scientific values, cooperate with each other, and make ground breaking discoveries.

The programme was coordinated by Yashwant MD, dean of science department, Rohith Kumar T Dept of physics and Ashalatha K, Dept of mathematics the convenors of science forum.

Several competitions like leaf art, ice breaker, science dance ,science fancy dress, poster making , identification of specimens, science rangoli science model were organized and prizes were disturbed to the winners.

Jenisha Hanna Crasta ( II PCMB 'C') welcomed the gathering. Prajwal AS ( II PCMB 'C')proposed vote of thanks . Lanvin D’Souza (II PCMB 'C') compered the programme.
