Bantwal: School vehicle overturns; driver, 10 children injured

Bantwal, Nov 13: A school vehicle overturned at Peruvai Mucchilapadavu in Bantwal taluk, resulting in injuries to both children and the driver on Wednesday, November 13.

The car was transporting schoolchildren when the driver lost control, leading to the accident. Two children and the driver sustained serious injuries, while eight other children had minor injuries.

The car is severely damaged in the accident. The injured were promptly rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred while the vehicle was on its way to drop off children at a school bus stop in Vittal from Mittamule in Peruvai, reportedly due to brake failure.

The driver, identified as Muliya Ramanna, is reported to have suffered head injuries.

The injured students received treatment at a local hospital. The accident, which took place within the Vittal police jurisdiction, has raised safety concerns about school transportation.

    Hope there are only minor injuries to kids and the driver. These kinds of incidents are a warning signs for the parents who send their kids to school by hiring random auto n taxi drivers, who will be having multiple pick n drop services and will be always in a hurry...
