Bantwal: St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan celebrates annual feast 2024

Bantwal, Nov 13: The annual feast of St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan, was celebrated with grandeur and devotion on Wednesday, November 13.

The parish priest distributed candles to all the Murdom and donors of the feast.

Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus of the diocese of Mangalore, was the main celebrant, with the parish priest and other priests concelebrating the Mass.

In his homily for the feast of St Thomas, the Bishop Emeritus urged the faithful to follow the Apostle's example of growing faith, moving from doubt to unwavering trust in Jesus.

The parish priest felicitated the Bishop Emeritus for his presence. The Bishop Emeritus later distributed candles to the phirjinth.

The parish priest thanked everyone for their contributions to the successful preparation of the feast and wished everyone a happy feast.

After the festive Mass, the ICYM Nirkan unit organised a festive fun zone at the church premises, offering a variety of fun games for all. An ice cream vehicle was also arranged for everyone to enjoy
