Udupi: Former MLA Raghupathi Bhat urges MLA Yashpal to lift HC stay for fair probe

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi

Udupi, Nov 13: Former MLA Raghupathi Bhat has praised MLA Yashpal for his statement expressing readiness to face investigations by the CBI, ED, and other agencies. However, he urged Yashpal to first lift the stay order obtained from the High Court on the FIRs filed by victims in Udupi and other police stations, allowing the investigation to proceed.

Bhat requested that the signatures on the victims' loan applications and loan documents—which they claim are forged—be sent for forensic verification by the police department to confirm their authenticity. He appealed to Yashpal to revoke the High Court stay order to facilitate a fair investigation and uncover the truth.

Bhat clarified that his advocacy is in the interest of the victims who have voiced their grievances and sought assistance. He emphasized that he has no personal stake in the matter and is dedicated to supporting the legal battle on behalf of indebted victims seeking justice.
