Politicians to Blame for Parliament Paralysis: BJD

New Delhi, Dec 11 (IANS): Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Pinaki Mishra Sunday hit out at the leaders of political parties for the recurring paralysis of parliament.

Speaking at the hunger strike of Anna Hazare here, Mishra said his own party MPs never massed near the speaker's chamber leading to adjournments of both houses.

And he said it was the leaders of political parties who egged their members to disturb the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

He warned that if parliament was repeatedly crippled, it would lead to more and more "parliaments" of the kind seen at Jantar Mantar and earlier at Ramlila ground -- venues of Hazare's hunger strikes in support of a strong Lokpal bill to combat corruption.
