Kundapur, Nov 16: “Awards should be given to honest individuals, as it enhances the value of the award. Journalist Prabhakara Acharya is a deserving recipient. He was born in the rural area of Chittoor and began his journalism career in Brahmavar. He is known for his clean writing and has received the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award,” said former MLA K Gopala Poojary.
Gopala Poojary was speaking during the felicitation of Karnataka Rajyotsava Award recipient Chittoor Prabhakara Acharya at his native place, Chittoor.
Presiding over the event, entrepreneur Maranakatte Krishnamurthy Manjaru remarked, “Wealth is not about money but the respect of thousands. To receive an award, one needs both luck and talent. Prabhakara Acharya possesses both.”
Chithrakoota Dr Rajesh Bayari was the chief guest. Religious leader Vandamballi Jayaram Shetty, Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, former zilla panchayat member Harkur Manjaiah Shetty, president of Brahmavar Journalists Association Rajesh Ganiga Achladi, former Vandse gram panchayat president Uday Kumar Shetty, Chittoor gram panchayat president Raviraj Shetty, former taluk panchayat member Udaya Poojary, chariot sculptor Rajagopala Acharya Koteshwara, and Nirmala Prabhakara Acharya Chittoor were present.
