Kundapur, Nov 16: Actress Manasi Sudheer kicked off the state-level 'Navoshmesh-2024' fest at Moodlakatte IMJ Science and Commerce College with an inspiring message for students.

Addressing a crowd of PU students, she emphasised, "Talent and opportunity, when they meet at the right time, can create magic. It's not enough to just have talent; it’s about seizing the right opportunities and continuing to refine your skills."

She also stressed that art is not just an expression, but a vital part of education, adding, "The true power of an artist lies in being a good human being."

Chief guest Suyog Shetty, CEO of Udupi Naviyas Solutions, underscored the importance of teamwork, leadership, and creativity in achieving success. "How we embrace success and failure shapes our personality," he noted.

Dr Pratibha M Patel, principal of the college, presided over the event, which also saw the presence of vice-principal Prof Jayashil Kumar and fest coordinators Sinchan, Nitin, and Hana Sheikh. Manasi Sudheer and Suyog Shetty were honoured for their contributions to their respective fields.

Fest coordinator Archana Gadde welcomed the attendees, and Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, director of Brand Building at IMJ Educational Institutions, delivered the inaugural address. Student Raksitha introduced the guests, while Sinchana and Santhapti managed the programme.

The fest, which attracted students from PU colleges across Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, and Shivamogga, promises to be a platform for creativity, collaboration, and learning.
