Dubai: Lancy D'Souza Elected President of 'Omzoorche Dive'

Dubai, Dec 13: Lancy D'Souza from Omzoor, an active member and leader, has been elected the president of 'Omzoorche Dive' for the year 2011-12.

'Omzoorche Dive' (the lights of Omzoor), an association of Omzoor parishioners residing in the UAE was formed with the multiple objectives of helping poor children in their education, to help the sick and needy, to cater to the social and financial needs of the parish, and unite all parishners spread around UAE.

A few enthusiastic parishioners of Omzoor parish, Mangalore, came together on November 23, 2007 to formed their own association.

• Secretary : Babitha D'Souza
• Treasurer: Lucy Pereira
• Cultures secretary : Steevan D'Souza 
• Sports secretary : Prasanth D'Silva
• Advisor : Arthur  D'Souza
• Media coordinator : Arthur Roshan Pereira


Members:

Sunil Pereira, Naveen Lasrado, Praksah D'Souza, Vinod Menezes, Robin D'Souza and Jim Austin D'Souza.
 
Outgoing president Arthur D'Souza expressed his gratitude to all the members for their support and requested them to continue the same during the tenure of the new president.
