Mangaluru, Nov 22: “During Tipu's rule, people who adhered to the Hindu way of life were eradicated. Similarly, the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government is stealing the livelihood of Hindus under the guise of Wakf properties,” alleged MP Capt Brijesh Chowta.

Chowta was speaking at the ‘Namma Bhoomi Namma Hakku’ protest organized by the Dakshina Kannada BJP. He stated, “The BJP will launch a campaign to protect the land of every Hindu and poor individual. Party workers will visit households and inspect RTCs to verify land ownership.”

MLA Dr Bharat Shetty remarked, “Many are unaware of the seriousness of the Wakf property issue. This is not limited to BJP workers; even lands owned by leaders like Ramanath Rai and Ivan D’Souza could be at risk.”

The protest was attended by MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, BJP district president Sathish Kumpala, and leaders Monappa Bhandary, Premananda Shetty, Manoj Kumar, Banumati, among others.
