Udupi, Nov 23: A day of remembrance, a day of gratitude, Patron’s Day, celebrated at Christ School, Manipal, it is a reflection of the enduring light that guides us Jesus Christ, on November 22.
Fr Romeo Lewis, correspondent in his note highlighted the deeper meaning of Patron’s Day, drawing attention to the values of love, service, and faith that Jesus Christ embodies. The speech focused on how the school continues to grow and thrive, with Christ’s teachings at the heart of its mission, inspiring the next generation to embrace these virtues. The spiritual essence of the day was marked by a solemn session of prayer and intercession, invoking blessings upon the school community and honouring Jesus Christ, Patron. The prayer session, led by teacher Cyrilla Lobo, set a reflective and reverent tone for the day. The opening prayer focused on gratitude, seeking divine guidance and blessings for the students, staff, and the institution’s endeavours. The intercessory prayers followed, encompassing heartfelt petitions for various intentions. Prayers were offered for the wellbeing of all students, for unity and harmony within the school community, and for the success of future endeavours. It was a moment of spiritual enrichment, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of everyone present.
A group of students from grade 10 performed a skit showcasing the pivotal role of patrons in nurturing growth and development. The performance was met with enthusiastic applause for its meaningful message and engaging presentation. The dance drama was performed by grade 8. The artists captivated the audience with their energy and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
