Puttur: Over 20 injured in serial accident at Gundya

Puttur, Nov 23: A major serial accident involving a private bus, a car, and a KSRTC bus occurred at Addahole near Gundya on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway, leaving more than 20 people injured.

The accident happened when the driver of the private bus lost control, crashing into the KSRTC bus. The car following the KSRTC bus then collided with it. The victims included college students from Bengaluru who were returning to the city after spending their holidays in Kundapur.

The injured were rushed to private hospitals in Kadaba and Nellyadi, while some were shifted to Puttur Hospital for advanced treatment. Uppinangady police arrived at the scene to manage the situation and clear the traffic caused by the accident.
