Make Yeddy CM or Party Chief, Demand 17 BJP MPs

New Delhi, Dec 16 (TOI): Karnataka BJP MPs, who are loyalists of B S Yeddyurappa, on Thursday met party leader L K Advani to press for the former CM's rehabilitation, insisting that only he could lead the party to victory in the next polls.

The 12 parliamentarians also submitted a letter signed by 17 MPs, stating that BJP was going downhill in the state since Yeddyurappa had to step down.

The party has 19 MPs from Karnataka in the Lok Sabha. The MPs demanded that Yeddyurappa, a prominent leader of the dominant Lingayat community that is loyal to BJP, be reinstated as CM or made state unit president as he is the best bet to ensure the party's return to power.

Sources close to Advani said, he heard the MPs and then asked them to meet party president Nitin Gadkari on the issue. Among those who signed the letter are Yeddyurappa's son and MP B Y Raghvendra, Bellary MP J Shantha, P C Mohan, Ramesh Katti, Shivkumar Udasi, P C Gaddigoudar, D B Chandra Gowda, Suresh Angadi, Janardhan Swamy, G M Siddeshwara, S Pakkirappa, G S Basavraj, Shivarama Gouda and N K Kateel.

Three of the 17 signatories - Prabhakar Kore, K B Shanappa, and Aayanur Manjunath - are from Rajya Sabha. Yeddyurappa had to step down as the CM on July 28 after he was indicted by the Karnataka Lokayukta in an illegal land allotment case. He was also jailed for a few weeks in graft cases.

Though he is not occupying any post, Yeddyurappa continues to have a hold on the party's unit in Karnataka. Sadanand Gowda, who replaced him as CM, was his choice.

However, new equations are emerging within the Karnataka unit. A pointer to this is J Shantha's assent to the demand to reinstate Yeddyurappa. She is the sister of B Shreeramulu, a close associate of the Reddy brothers, who rebelled against the party and won the Bellary Assembly seat as an independent, defeating among others the BJP candidate.

Politicians has no shame. That`s how they are called politicians. Yeddy wants to create more mess & more missunderstandings, confuesions in karnataka. any how we have enough list of corruptions by congress & now good to add this one in their line. Keep it up my friend. when we come we dont bring nor while we take any thing. shame on you for your cheap attitudes. Either yeddy will live peacefully nor allow others. he will create more missunderstandings within the good & healthy communities & friends.
Sooner may be he wants to make mangaluru as MANGAGALA OORU. There is still time for him to convince him self & save good souls. if it is continued like this, i am sure BJP name will be ruined & vanished permenently from karnataka, cause kannadigas are smart enough to chose their right candidate.

YEDYURAPPAJI CHIEF MINISTER CAN RUIN KARNATAKA TOTALLY

BJP HAS NO FUTURE AS IT IS TUMBLING

BJP AS OPPOSITION TO GOVERNMENT WANTS ONLY RESIGNATIONS OF MINISTERS AND STALLING THE FUNCTION OF THE PARLIAMENT

THIS OPPOSITION IS THE WORST IN THE ENTIRE 64 YEARS OF INDIAN DEMOCRACY

KARNATAKA WILL NEVER BE NUMBER ONE UNDER BJP RULE

KARNATAKA PLUNGED FROM NUMBER 7 TO NUMBER 23 STATE DURING THE BJP RULE

KARNATAKA ROADS AND INFRASTRUCTURE IS LIKE BIHAR A FEW YEARS AGO

YEDYURAPPA CANNOT BECOME CHIEF MINISTER AGAIN AS HE DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO GIVE TO HIS MINISTERS AS BELLARY MINES ARE OUT OF BJP CONTROL

What a shameful situation in Karnataka Political History.Today We have CM who is qualified and able leader and also was a successful lawer. But at the same time we have 17 MP's who may not be as educated as the CM DVS and they want the Lokayukta cases main accused as CM. The elections commission should amend the laws where every MLA and MP should be a law graduate and should not be over 50 years of age.

No questions of holding candles or torches for anyone but Yeddyurappa has a case here ! Why should he be the only'scapegoat' when others are roaming scot free? The observations made by the HC are also noteworthy here on the imprisonment of some leaders which were it seems made in a hurrywith different parameters for giving bail. The whole "lokayuktha' affair in Karnataka also appears 'fishy' with the craze of publicity taking over some of the personalities at the helm! Yeddyurappa has in this connection certainly has a 'case' to be heard out! The public verdict on the matter in any case is going to come out soon!
