Udupi, Nov 30: Karnataka’s flagship five guarantee schemes have become a model for other states across India, stated Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Minister for Women and Child Development.
She made these comments while inaugurating the Taluk-level Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee Office at the Taluk Panchayat building in Udupi.
Addressing the event, Minister Hebbalkar said, “The introduction of these guarantee schemes is a proud achievement for our government, marking a historic milestone in India’s governance.”















She further added that several states have been inspired by Karnataka’s model and are now working towards implementing similar initiatives, highlighting the Congress party's significant role in India’s progress.
The minister also emphasised the Congress government’s ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment and urged the implementation committees to ensure that the benefits of the five guarantee schemes reach the people effectively and efficiently.
The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including former MP Jayaprakash Hegde, Udupi Taluk Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee chairman Ramesh Kanchan, District Congress president Ashok Kodavoor, Udupi Urban Development Authority (UDA) chairman Dinesh Herur, Deputy Commissioner Dr K Vidyakumari, District Superintendent of Police Dr K Arun, Zilla Panchayat CEO Prateek Boyal, and Congress leaders Uday Kumar Shetty, Prasad Kanchan, M A Ghafoor, Dinesh Hegde, and Lavanya Ballal, among others.
