Mangaluru, Dec 4: In light of the ongoing rainfall in Dakshina Kannada district, precautionary measures have been implemented to prevent any loss of life, said deputy commissioner (DC) Mullai Muhilan. While some areas have experienced damage, including water entering homes, the authorities have acted promptly to mitigate the situation.

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been actively involved in relief operations. With the annual fair underway at Kukke Subrahmanya, visitors have been advised to avoid venturing into the river as a precautionary measure.

Even after the rains subside, the public is urged to refrain from entering flooded areas or stagnant water bodies. DC Muhilan emphasized the importance of cooperation from resort owners in warning tourists against entering water bodies to ensure safety.
