Udupi: Hotel worker hacked to death in Manipal

Udupi, Dec 6: A 35-year-old hotel worker was brutally hacked to death in Manipal under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased, identified as Sreedhar Kasarkod, was attacked by unidentified assailants who struck his neck with a beer bottle. The motive behind the incident remains unclear.

The crime is suspected to have occurred late last night or in the early hours of the morning. Udupi SP Dr Arun K and Manipal police personnel visited the scene to investigate. Dog squads and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams are expected to arrive shortly to aid in the investigation.

Further details are awaited as the police continue their probe into the incident.
