Mangaluru, Dec 6: St Agnes Special School celebrated its aanual day on Thursday, December 5 in the school hall. The programme began with a warm and cordial welcome given to Manoj Kumar, mayor, Mangalore city Corporation.

The school children gave a general salute and accorded him a grand welcome through school band. The programme began with a prayer dance and invoked God’s blessings on the programme.

Sr Shruthi AC, principal, St Agnes Special School welcomed the chief guest and all those present for the function. The children then welcomed the gathering with a colourful dance. The children displayed their talents through various dances and singing which ended with a meaningful Christmas play depicting the life of Jesus Christ.

The chief guest Manoj Kumar, in his speech, lauded the service of the sisters among the children with special needs and assured his help and support to the institution during his tenure. He also appreciated the colourful performance of its children.

The programme was attended by the parents of the students and well-wishers. The whole programme was compered by Narayana Sherigar. Prakash proposed a vote of thanks. It was a day filled with joy and celebration.
