Mangaluru: Shivamogga man booked for misbehaving with woman in Kulshekar

Mangaluru, Dec 7: A 48-year-old woman from Kulshekar filed a complaint on Wednesday alleging misbehavior by a man at her residence.

The incident occurred around 12:40 pm on December 6 when the accused, identified as Sayyed Nahim (25), a resident of Shivamogga, allegedly verbally abused the complainant and her sister's daughter.

Upon receiving the complaint, police promptly brought the accused to the Kankanady police station for questioning. During the inquiry, it was revealed that Nahim had known the complainant for about a year. He had traveled to Mangaluru for personal reasons and visited the complainant’s residence, where a financial dispute reportedly triggered the altercation.

Based on the complaint, a non-cognizable report (NCR 1199/2024) and a petty case have been registered at Kankanady police station for further investigation.
