Mangaluru, Dec 7: A gas leak from a cooking cylinder sparked a fire in a house near Attavar Mescom on the afternoon of Friday. Fortunately, fire service personnel arrived in time and prevented a major disaster.

The incident took place at the residence of Ansar. Family members noticed a fire at the regulator of the cooking gas cylinder. They immediately evacuated the house and called the Pandeshwar fire service.

"The team responded promptly and brought the fire under control. Thankfully, no significant damage or property loss occurred.
