Mangaluru: 'Srinathon' national-level 24-hour hackathon to be held on Dec 10-11

Mangaluru, Dec 9: 'Srinathon', a national-level 24-hour hackathon, is set to take place on December 10-11 at Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Mangaluru. This event is organized by SIT's Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) in association with SSOSC, Incubation and Startup, Industry Institute Interaction, EDP, and Yukti Cell.

Participants will address three industry-provided problem statements along with an open theme, competing for a prize pool of Rs 1 lac and internship opportunities. The problem tracks include an AI-driven interview system, a one-solution-for-everything approach, and an open statement where participants can propose their own problem.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, president of A Shama Rao Foundation and chancellor of Srinivas University, will preside over the event. Dr A Srinivas Rao, vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation and pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, will serve as the chief guest.

The event will be coordinated by principal Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, SSOSC coordinator Prof Shailesh Shetty S, EDP cell coordinator Dr Soorya Krishna K, and student coordinator Nethranand.

Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) is one of the premier Engineering colleges of the Mangaluru region aiming towards high standards of education with a holistic approach. SIT is recognized by AICTE, affiliated to VTU and accredited by NAAC. The Institute started in the year 2006 which is a unit of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru. The college is located at the Srinivas Campus spread over 15 acres of land at Valachil, Arkula Village, about 10kms from Mangaluru city, towards BC Road, adjacent to NH66. The institute hosts 3000 plus students studying under 13 UG programmes, 5 pg programmes and 6 research centres.
