Bantwal: RSS Pours Cold Water on Yeddy's CM Ambitions

Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Dec 20: Sources said that former chief minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa, was told in clear terms by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) brass that he may have to restrain his ambitions to wrest the post of the chief minister at least for the present. It is learnt that the RSS leaders questioned Yeddy during his visit to Kalladka on Monday, as to how he can be reinstated at a time when he is yet to be cleared by courts in cases relating to scandals, and as the present incumbent, D V Sadananda Gowda, has not been facing any controversies.

The RSS leaders told Yeddyurappa that during the last five months, D V Sadananda Gowda, did not allow his relatives to meddle with the state’s affairs, and has concentrated on good governance, and has been restraining himself from making announcement about new schemes. “He has neither been in any controversy, nor facing any criticism from the union government. As such, at this juncture, we will not be able to put pressure on BJP to bring you back as the state’s chief minister,” they told the former CM, it is learnt.

At the same time, RSS is prepared to try to get him the post of the state president of his party, but Yeddyurappa is averse to this suggestion. It appears, the parleys held by Yeddyurappa and Shobha Karandlaje at Kalladka on Monday morning failed to convince the RSS.

During his visit to Shibarur Sri Kodamanittaya Daivasthana near Suratkal on Monday, Yeddyurappa told the reporters who met him, that he is trying to forget the bitter memories of the past. He said he had given topmost importance to the development of the state when in power, and that he is not bothered by the fact that friends have at times, turned his enemies and enemies have turned friends, commenting that these things are common in politics. He said he has been continuing the practice of visiting prayer centres and temples since long, and expressed the confidence that the grace of the God will ensure that he will be proved not guilty. He said he has the confidence of rising to be the chief minister of the state again, after which, he promised to visit this Daivasthana.

He said that D V Sadananda Gowda will win the coming council election and continue to be the chief minister. About the continuance of Somashekhara Reddy as the chairman of Karnataka Milk Federation in view of controversy over his siding with Sriramulu in the recent Bellary Rural bypoll, he said the high command of the party will decide on Reddy’s future.

During his visit to the Daivasthana, chairman of Karnataka Coastal Development Authority, Nagaraja Shetty, Daivasthana governing council president, Madhukar Amin, and some others accompanied him.

BJP is considered party with difference. Mr. Yediyurappa has to wait till he clears from the court though he may not be involved in curruption. It is not right to justify that others like Chidu, Krishna and others still continuing even though they face allegiations. Because their party is the founder of corruption. So our advice to Yediyurappa is to wait till he gets the court clearance. Then definitely he is suprior.

DVS is doing well. Every one thought after Bellary Election BJP govt. Will come on road. But God blessed DVS bcz he did justice with Minorities by withdrawing false cases. Secondly he has organizing capacity. He is lawyer well educated. He is not Proudy or power hungry.

Always Smiling despite tensions. Better to see face of an peacock instead of a Eagle. God bless DVS n protect him from evil doors. I hope he will win election with a good margin. After DVS rule, opposition too has taken a soft stand. Even minoritis are supporting him.

A power hungry politicians are looks sometime dangerous to the society itself.Sometime for the self benefit the action and the result will damage the trust what we kept in the system of democracy.Always a smooth functioning of the elected govt. is beneficial to all of us totally. The politicians with criminal records always to be barred from politics for maximum period in the interest of the party and society itself.

He is not getting support from RSS and BJP High Command, DVS is going strong and he is preferred choice.

By doing all this yagas and visits to Mutts Temples has not yielded any result to Yeddy as he has lost all the reputation for being in Jail.

Yeddy should now start thinking about building a new party.

BSY is unlikely to heed the advise of the RSS @ this juncture. The court case will drag him 10 years minimum by the time he will be not in a position to take the CM job.

BSY never thought of average BJP leader for the past 10 years or so ,then how could he digest this rock bottom position.I think BSY going to make a decision finally after the election of DVS to Council and that could be end of all speculation and uncertainty.
RSS, in this juncture can't do anything as the issue is in advance
stage and more importantly BSY is a fighter and he will not surrender with out a fight.
