Bantwal, Dec 12: The annual feast of Mother Mary, the patron saint of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Bantwal, was celebrated with grandeur and devotion on December 10.
Fr Vincent Crasta, secretary of the Udupi Diocese Catholic Education Board, delivered the homily with the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope through the Strength of Prayer’. The solemn Mass saw the participation of various parish priests and hundreds of devotees. A nine-day novena was held in preparation for the feast.
Church parish priest Fr Francis Crasta expressed his gratitude to all the donors who contributed to making the feast a grand success. As a token of appreciation, they were honoured with blessed candles. Fr Jason Monis, headmaster of Loretto CBSE High School, along with priests from various churches in Bantwal, was present for the occasion.
