Media Release
Udupi, Dec 13: Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), MAHE, Manipal is pleased to announce the renewal of partnership with Indeanta E-Mobility for another five years, effective November 2024.
MIT's association with Indeanta E-Mobility began over two years ago, driven by a shared commitment to enhancing student mobility on campus. The service has provided the students with convenient, on-demand transportation during pre-class and post-lecture hours, reducing the need for long walks or cycling across campus. Students have benefited from group travel facilitated through a simple, user-friendly mobile application.
The electric mobility service has also played a vital role in preserving the campus’s ecosystem. As a zero-tailpipe emissions platform, it has contributed significantly to protecting the rich flora and fauna on their grounds.
With the renewal of this partnership, MIT is excited to announce that the fleet size will double from five to ten electric vehicles. In addition, the technology platform will see major upgrades, including augmented reality-assisted campus navigation, on-demand ride-hailing similar to radio-taxi services, and interactive features such as gamified experiences and exclusive offers. These enhancements aim to encourage greater student engagement while promoting environmental sustainability through reduced carbon emissions.
This partnership has been a journey of mutual learning and growth. MIT has extended its sincere gratitude to Commander (Dr) Anil Rana, director of MIT, Dr Somashekara Bhat, joint director and Dr V Ramachandra Murty associate director-development whose leadership and support have been invaluable throughout this collaboration.
MIT is excited about the continued partnership with Indeanta E-Mobility as they remain committed to fostering a sustainable, technology-driven campus environment that enhances the experience of the students and staff.
