Mangaluru, Dec 13: A mother of three children, who sustained severe injuries from a gas cylinder leakage and subsequent explosion at her home in Kalkatta Kandika, within the Manjanady village limits, succumbed to her injuries late Thursday night.

The deceased, Khubra, was the wife of Muttalib. The incident occurred last Saturday while Khubra and her three children—Maziya, Meyadiya, and Mayida—were sleeping in the same room. The explosion caused serious injuries to all four of them, leading to their admission to a private hospital in Deralakatte.

The final rites of Khubra will be performed at her residence in Kalkatta Kandika.

We make our homes more n more beautiful... But one thing we neglect is personal safety... Gas cylinder and especially connecting pipe must be checked regularly by a professional... They charge 300 rupees per visit and once in a year also is fine to have them checked... Some connections are never looked at for years together... Rubber and even metal has its own service life... RIP to the departed soul... Wishing speedy recovery to the children...
