Kundapur, Dec 14: In a stunning political shift, voters in Gangolli have overwhelmingly backed Congress-supported candidates in the recent Grama Panchayat elections, ending 27 years of BJP and JD rule. The victory was celebrated with a jubilant procession and victory event near the Port Office.

Former MLA K Gopala Poojari praised the unity and trust shown by voters, stating, "This time, voters from all sections of society came together for the welfare, development, and harmony of Gangolli, supporting the Congress-backed candidates."

Poojari expressed confidence in fulfilling the promises made to voters, ensuring their issues would be addressed. "We will work for the welfare of all communities—fishermen, traders, and minorities—and bring real change to Gangolli," he assured.

The victory celebration saw the presence of key political figures, including Pradeep Kumar Shetty, president of Vandse Block Congress, Aravind Poojari of Byndoor Block Congress, and several other local leaders.

A festive victory procession, led by new Panchayat members, wound its way through the main road, marking the historic win for the Congress in Gangolli.
