Ahmedabad (RBI), Dec 17: Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad (BSA), a prestigious and respected community organization, marked its 31st anniversary with a spectacular celebration in the famed senate hall of Gujarat University in Ahmedabad. The event was graced by the presence of Kishore Alva, executive director, Adani Group who was the special guest for the program. Shashidhar Shetty, president -Tulu Sangha, Baroda, i Radhakrishna Shetty, president Karnataka Samaja – Surat, Balkrishna Shetty, president Tulunada Isiri, Shankar Shetty, president Tulu Sangha Ankleshwar, alongside many other notable dignitaries and esteemed members of the community, graced the occasion.
In his address, the president of Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad, Shriva kodu Nitesh S Shetty announced that Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad is now completely digital in its operations and istotally paperless. He also highlighted ‘Nisarga’ – The environment conservation project thatwas launched by Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad a couple of months back. He also announced some ambitious digital initiatives aimed at strengthening community bonds and fostering greater connectivity. Among the key announcements were:
A digital matrimony service to help community members find compatible life partners. A business networking platform to support and connect entrepreneurs and professionals within the community. A digital media channel that plans to celebrate and share the rich culture and traditions of the Bunts community with the world.
Additionally, the president shared the exciting news of the establishment of a building corpus fund dedicated to the construction of Buntara Bhavana in Ahmedabad, a new age, modern cultural hub that will serve as a vibrant centre for community activities and events.
Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad, secretary, Kiran Shetty spoke about the numerous activities that were conducted by the Sangha, in the entire year. Sangha treasurer, Prashant Naik updated the members about the sangha financials
Reflecting on the occasion, all the guests expressed heartfelt appreciation for Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad efforts in preserving culture, fostering unity, and driving progress within the community. Kishore Alva in his captivating speech explained the importance of unity, harmony and the importance of progressive thoughts in social organizations and appreciated how Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad is moving in the right direction with innovative plans.
Shashidhar Shetty spoke on how generosity and mindset of giving, impacts society at large and explained the importance that when people contribute in whatever means possible, time -effort – money – thoughts , good things happen. Similarly, Radhakrishna Shetty and Balkrishna Shetty gave thought provoking and inspiring speeches that motivated the audience at large.
The evening also saw Shashidhar Shetty, being honoured with the prestigious Bunterna Ratna Award for his exemplary contributions to social welfare and charitable activities. The Bunterna Ratna Award, initiated by Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad, symbolizes the highest recognition forindividuals from the Bunts Community, who embody the spirit of service and have significantly contributed to societal progress. Shashidhar Shetty is the first recipient of this award.
The event also featured dazzling cultural programs performed by talented members of the sangha. A highlight of the evening was the outstanding Tulu play, “Bunterna Nantu,”performed by the committee members of Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad under the name of Kusalda Kalavidere. The play received widespread acclaim and left the audience thoroughly mesmerized. Praveen Shetty, the youngest Bunts Sangha Committee member and the director the play, was applauded and recognized by the esteemed guests, for his dedication and effort in making the play a success.
The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks, followed by a sumptuous dinner under the starlitsky. It was a memorable evening of celebration, camaraderie, and a shared vision for a brighter future.
